Show Off Your M4M Spirit with the “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” Challenge

Masons4Mitts is about teamwork, sportsmanship, and supporting kids in our communities. But it’s also about bragging rights! So while this year we can’t settle things on the diamond, we’re instead setting up a little friendly Masons4Mitts competition—with a social-media twist. Here’s how it works:

Masons4Mitts team captains and lodge leaders are urged to rally their squads by recording a short video of their lodge or their team singing the old seventh-inning stretch classic, “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” This can be as simple or elaborate as you like. And it doesn’t need to be professional quality—the team spirit is the thing here! From getting lodge members together for a Zoom singalong to knocking it out of the park with a pass-it-on video mashup, there are no limits to your creativity. (Just be sure to keep socially distanced!)

Once you’ve made your video, post it to Facebook before September 7 with the hashtag #MasonsPlayBall and a link to donate at Masons4Mitts.org, and get as many of your friends and fellow lodge members to like and share it far and wide.

The top videos will be entered into our MLB Playoff tournament, hosted on this page, where Masons can vote on their favorite to determine our first-ever Masons4Mitts Video Challenge champion.

To recap:

  1. Record your lodge or your Masons4Mitts team singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”
  2. Post your video to Facebook before September 7 using the hashtag #MasonsPlayBall and include a link to donate at Masons4Mitts.org, and rack up as many likes as you can!
  3. The top videos will be entered into our playoff tournament at Masons4Mitts.org; vote for your favorites to determine our champion.
  4. Don’t forget to donate a mitt to a kid in need today!

Need some inspiration? Check out our first video, led by Grand Master John Trauner and other Grand Lodge Officers!

This may be a season like none we’ve ever experienced before, but our commitment to Masons4Mitts and to the many deserving kids it serves hasn’t changed. Let’s show everyone that our Masons4Mitts spirit is as strong as ever. Donate today at Masons4Mitts.org.
